The Alabama Department of Insurance recently announced it will hold a Notice of Regulation Hearing on Wednesday, June 14 2017 at 2pm CST.

Montgomery, AL — Today, Alabama Governor Robert J. Bentley singed into law a HB 270 sponsored by the Alabama Captive Association to update and modernize the Alabama Captive Act. The new law is expected to make Alabama more competitive in the formation of captive insurance companies. The law goes into effect July 1, 2016.

The revision to the Alabama Captive Act contains the following significant changes:

Update to Alabama Captive Act passes Sentate 29-0
